Yes, yes. Alan Jacobs has weighed in on the final Harry Potter book over at Books and Culture. It's one of the most cogent and beautiful reviews/analyses I've seen yet. Worth waiting for. I'm itching to get back to some more HP reflections. Not sure when it will happen, but essays like this inspire my thoughts!

Isn't it wonderful? I love his stuff. He really "gets" Harry, not just the books themselves, but their timelessness and meaning for our culture.
And to think he's even better when he writes about Lewis.
